Dr. Felix Quant was once a renowned scientist known for his groundbreaking research in experimental chemistry. After twenty-nine years of working for Falian Corporation’s research division at Polytech Labs, he found himself teetering on the edge of a breakthrough–an antiviral compound with a high efficacy against most modern viruses. However, dreams turned to disillusionment when the breakthrough wasn’t publicized. In fact, Quant had suspicions of nefarious motives that the elites aimed to reverse the compound and release it to the labor and core classes, quelling their growth in population.
Knowing he could do nothing about these suspicions, even if they were true, Quant left Falian Corp. and Polytech to instead work against them. He joined the Anarchist Liberation Party, adopting the pseudonym “Hazmat” in 2258. Now, instead of patents and publications, Hazmat directs his energy toward traps, mines, and explosives that serve the ALP.
In the ALP, Hazmat found a platform to utilize his intellect for the true greater good. No longer confined to the sanitized corridors of institutional research, he’s in the dirt and chaos, waging war against the elites and administrators, dismantling the very systems he once inadvertently helped build. His unconventional weapons and gadgets are an essential part of the ALP’s toolkit, each one a small but potent act of resistance against the oppressive powers that be.
